EVENT PERFORMANCE PACKAGE - STRING DUO (2 hours)

PACKAGE - The package can include any/all of the following, from the stated Start Time, up until the stated Finish Time as per the accompanying form: Guests Arrival, Ceremony & Drinks Reception.

TRAVEL - Travel costs are included in the package, up to a 25 mile radius of Canterbury, Kent.

PAYMENT - A non-refundable deposit of £100.00 is included in the package. For cancellation fees, see below.

PERFORMING OUTDOORS - We are happy to perform outside, providing the weather is appropriate (not below 18C or above 30C).

Adequate cover (eg. Gazebo) is required for all performances outside, to provide shade and protection from the elements eg. full sun, wind, light drizzle etc.

If it is raining, we cannot under any circumstances perform outside, due to the irreversible damage this could cause to our instruments.

Weddington Strings reserve the right to refuse to perform outside if the weather conditions are not permitting. We highly recommend for outside events, that a Plan B to perform inside is put in place, prior to the event.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS - For Quartet performances, Weddington Strings require 2m x 3m space and 4 suitable armless chairs in good condition.

For smaller ensembles we require 2m x 2m square.

Any gazebos/tents for outside performance should be at least 1m larger than our performance space.

All performance spaces need to be free of any pedestrian traffic.

If possible, we also require a secure room to leave our cases and valuables in when performing, and somewhere suitable to get changed.

BREAKS - Weddington Strings perform sets of 50 minutes to 1 hour, with a 10 minute break between each set, in order to be at our best and not sustain any injuries.

For performances of 4 hours or more, we will require a 1 hour break after 4 hours playing.

FOOD - For performances of over 2 hours, Weddington Strings will require food for the musicians. A plate of sandwiches is fine, but we need energy to give you the performance you deserve.

We kindly request that the client organize any food required and liase with the venue, prior to the event.

We are happy to take a break whenever is required to fit in with the venue/event.

OVERTIME FEES - For any events that run for longer than the contracted time, Weddington Strings offer the 1st 15 minutes free of charge, to cover any technical or other circumstances beyond control. eg. Adverse weather conditions, power cuts etc. Then we charge £125 for up to 1 hour’s playing thereafter. Any subsequent time required after that, is subject to negotiation on the day. Please note that performing beyond our contracted time is at our discretion.

Weddington Strings cannot guarantee to be able to perform overtime, depending on our availability at the time.

CANCELLATION - Bookings cancelled less than 2 weeks in advance, with no view to reschedule, will be charged at 50% of the full fee.

Bookings cancelled at less than 7 days notice will incur FULL FEES.

REPERTOIRE - Any specific repertoire required for your event, must be finalised at the latest, 7 days before your event.

Any repertoire not in our collection that requires sourcing or special arrangement, must be finalised at the latest 14 days in advance.
